Shopping List Tracker · Last updated 3 November 2026
Shopping List Tracker is a free iPhone app that helps your household keep shopping lists, a pantry, recipes and a record of what you spend. It is made by Yamuna Miriyala. This policy explains what the app keeps, who can see it, and how you can delete it. Your data is never sold.
What the app stores
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Your lists, pantry items, stores, expiry dates and favourite recipes | So the app works and stays in sync across your household's phones. |
| Trips and bills: the store, date, items, prices and bill totals you enter | To show your spending by store, month and year, and to compare prices between stores. |
| Your name, as you enter it | Shown to people in your household next to items you add. |
| Your email address or Sign in with Apple ID | Needed to share a household, so each person has their own account and keeps their data when they change phones. Using the app on your own doesn't need it. |
| Whether each member is a parent or a kid, and who asked for, approved or declined an item | So kids' requests wait for a parent and everyone sees who decided. |
| An anonymous account ID | Created automatically so your lists can be saved and shared. |
The app does not use your camera, photos, location or contacts. Everything is typed in by you or your household, and prices are optional.
Who can see it
Only the people in your household. You choose who joins by sharing an invite code, and you can remove members or leave at any time.
Ads and tracking
The app shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. If ads are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Reminders
Expiry reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No push notifications are sent from a server.
Where it's stored
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which processes it on the app's behalf.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Household → Delete my account and data. If you're the only member, your lists, pantry, trips and spending history are permanently deleted. If others share your household, you're removed and they keep the shared lists. Sign in with Apple access is revoked. You can also email support@shoppinglisttracker.app to ask for deletion.
Children
The app is meant for adults managing a household. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
